The S-1 is a high-performance 4-batten wave sail. Lightweight, flexible and highly responsive, it feels like having a spring that you can load up and release on demand.

Updated with the latest development concepts, including DirectConnect and CarbonFusion to amplify the spring effect and reactivity, the S-1 is the most efficient power source to drive you through any manoeuvre.

One of the first things everyone notices about the S-1 is how light it feels. It is light. But beyond the actual weight, its balance and short boom geometry make it feel even lighter in the hands.

New materials further enhance the S-1 design, with D6 Dacron adding elasticity to the forward sections of the sail, and VX2 stabilising the body panels. The result is a consistent power position between your hands, delivering enough back-hand pressure to perform without ever feeling heavy.

GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY

With the new Gradient Panel Technology, the improvements are obvious: lighter weight and increased stability.

This construction uses overlapping panels in the corners, reducing the need for heavy patching. These overlaps extend into the body of the sail, allowing loads to transition more smoothly and reducing stretch over time. It is a more stable way to build sails.

Gradient Panel Technology reduces weight, increases strength and controls stretch. While overall weight is reduced, the most noticeable improvement is the feel — faster response and a lighter sensation.

Rather than a single curved luff panel, separate split-luff panels radiate from the head and tack corners, perfectly aligning the sail material with the load direction.

Previously, curved panels introduced bias stretch in unwanted areas. The result now is direct power transmission and increased longevity.
