Ezzy Wave – Over 40 Years of Wave Performance

Born on Maui in 1983, the Ezzy Wave has evolved for four decades under David Ezzy’s guidance. From the first prototype, it has been refined to deliver strength, control, and handling in the world’s toughest wave conditions.

Ho‘okipa’s mast-high waves, sharp reef, and gusty trade winds are the ultimate testing ground. Developed and tested there, the Ezzy Wave feels light in the hands, reliable through wipeouts, and balanced in every turn.

Designed for real conditions

• Power and stability from a reduced luff curve that drives forward and remains composed in gusts.

• Smooth handling thanks to slightly pulled-back battens for faster depower and cleaner rotation.

• Balanced feel, with an extended clew on smaller sizes for improved stability in jumps and landings.

• Bombproof construction using Dyneema X-ply and high-strength scrim yarns for lighter weight and long life.

Built for durability

The Ezzy Wave is engineered to withstand rocks, reefs, shorebreak, constant impacts, and UV exposure. Materials are rigorously tested and every sail is assembled, inspected, and tuned before leaving the factory.

In-house manufacturing

Unlike many brands, Ezzy produces its sails in its own factory, founded in 1994, allowing full control from raw materials to final rigging.

Calibrated rigging

Every Ezzy Wave is pre-rigged and calibrated at the factory using load-cell measurements so your setup is precise from the first session.

Downhaul settings:

• Max – strong wind / maximum control

• Mid – balanced all-around performance

• Min 1 – early planing in lighter wind

• Min 2 – extra power in marginal wind
