The SX10 is crafted using the highest-grade pre-preg carbon in both the body and tail extension. While many modern booms use pre-preg construction, what truly sets the SX10 apart is the superior carbon quality and precision layup design.

To achieve the optimal strength-to-weight ratio, we use inner layers of uni-directional carbon along the boom arms, creating an ultra-stiff spine. On the exterior, a carbon fiber weave enhances durability and impact resistance. This advanced “carbon sandwich” layup—similar to the construction of our boards—results in a boom that is incredibly stiff, lightweight, and strong.

Now Featuring a Wider Tail – Enhanced Power and Sail Stability

The latest generation of the SX10 is now equipped with a wider tail end on the Wave and Freewave sizes. The wider tail allows you to rig your sail with more depth without the boom arms interfering with the sail profile, which:

Improves power delivery
Creates a more efficient twist
Promotes ideal rig dynamics

Whether you’re chasing early planing or sailing fully powered, the wider tail allows your rig to breathe freely and perform at its best.

Covers: Blacktip 3.1–5.9 m² and/or Evoq 3.7–6.6 m²
Freewave 155–215 cm
Covers: Evoq 4.5 m² to V-Max 7.2 m² or S-Max 7.8 m²

Covers: V-Max 6.0 to 7.9 m² or S-Max 5.5–8.5 m²

SX Outhaul Pulley
The Wave & Freewave booms are equipped with a loop-to-loop outhaul pulley for quick and easy rigging and sail trimming.

The Freerace boom is fitted with a 6:1 pulley system, allowing the use of an adjustable outhaul system.

THE BOOM HEAD
The Simmer boom head is designed for maximum grip on the mast. Its high-friction contact surface ensures the boom stays firmly in place, even during hard landings. A robust rope hook provides superb stability, while the boom lever allows you to effortlessly apply tension and secure the boom in the correct position.

All SX10 booms include an integrated shim, making them compatible with both SDM and RDM masts.

Super Thin Grip

For maximum riding comfort, the SX10 Slim features a super thin grip. Grip diameter varies by discipline: 25 mm for Wave, 27 mm Freewave booms, and 28.5 mm for the 175 Freerace boom. Each boom size has a specifically developed outline to optimize rig dynamics.
