Designed for freedom and engineered for performance, the new ROCKET FREE DOWNWIND CARBON combines glide, volume, and acceleration in an elongated shape, perfectly suited to emerging disciplines such as pocket winging and K-Winging.

The ROCKET FREE range was developed to meet the needs of new disciplines focused on freefly and downwind. In these sports, freedom is key: the wing or paddle is only used for take-off before being set aside, stashed, or flagged out, allowing riders to surf swells and ocean energy alone.

This requires longer boards to enhance glide and acceleration, along with enough volume to plane quickly and with stability. Since take-offs in these disciplines are more demanding than in traditional wing foiling, these boards give riders the edge needed for smooth starts.

Following this philosophy, the ROCKET FREE DOWNWIND CARBON builds on the fundamentals of the MIDLENGTH—natural front-to-back balance, stability, and glide—while pushing them further. Its longer shape and stretched outline increase glide even more. A rear step and kicktail help build speed quickly and soften touchdowns. The shallow cockpit maintains excellent control underfoot without adding unnecessary thickness, while the width-to-thickness ratio strikes the perfect balance between stability and acceleration, even when underpowered.

Compared to the FREE SURF, the FREE DOWNWIND is a more stable board, featuring increased thickness, a wider nose and bottom surface, and squarer rails. Foot pressure is slightly front-biased, in line with the classic F-ONE feel. It is designed for riders who prioritize stability and easy take-offs, even in challenging or choppy conditions.

This model is available in HD Foam Carbon Composite, an ultra-light and stiff construction that enhances maneuverability and delivers an even more direct foil feel. More reactive when pumping, the carbon version shares the same shape and program as the bamboo construction.

Available from 6’4” to 7’8” (85 to 124 L), the ROCKET FREE DOWNWIND CARBON is accessible, versatile, and performance-driven, whether chasing offshore bumps or seeking easy planing in any condition.

HD FOAM CARBON COMPOSITE

This sandwich construction (high-density foam + glass and carbon fiber) allows the board to be lightweight and strong, while improving resistance to heel pressure and dings. The high-density foam provides overall structural strength.

TWIN-TRACKS

The Twin-Tracks system with a lateral spacing of 90 mm is one of the industry standards.
